Accepting Applications for Fall 2026!
Step One: Schedule a school and dorm tour

Step Two: Submit Application
- There is no application fee
- Complete the Application for the P.A.C.E. at NLU Program HERE
Step Three: Submit Supporting Materials
- Once you submit the application. Angelica Castaneda will email you a checklist of required forms that we will need.
- All required documentation must be received by the application deadline for a student's application to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
- These documents are:
- Applicant's Personal Expression Form (It will be emailed to you once the application is submitted)
- Student's high school transcript and certificate of completion IEP, if applicable
- Three reference forms using the confidential reference form. To be completed by one educator and two non-relatives. (This will be emailed to you once the application is submitted)
- Recent psychological evaluation report (no more than 2 years old if possible) which include written results and interpretations of the following:
- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) III or IV
- Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT II or III) or the Woodcock Johnson III (WJ III)
Step Four: Interview
- Upon receipt of the application and supporting materials, the Admission Committee determines whether to extend an invitation to the candidate and a parent/guardians to interview on campus.
- Families and candidate participate in an interview (candidate, family, and candidate with family) to discuss program goals and compatibility.
- Admissions decisions are made by members of the P.A.C.E. at NLU Admissions Committee following review of all of the applicant materials and interviews.
- The deadline to apply and submit materials are due by March 15 yearly and all interviews should be completed by April 15 yearly. By June 1st yearly, families need to let us know if they are attending or not.
IF ACCEPTED:
If accepted, we will let you know within a couple of days after the interview if accepted.
Step Five: Begin Path to P.A.C.E. (P2P) Program
- No additional fees for registration in P2P, college preparatory program
- P2P is a college preparatory program that primes students for a successful college experience. Designed as a co-hort, student participation establishes a foundation of valuable relationship skills and self-awareness as they take that next exciting step towards independence!
Step Six: Attend Summer College Experience Program
- No additional fees for registration in Summer College Experience program
- The program supports incoming students in being fully prepared for their 1st school year.
